Bidet Review

Hand-held Bidets

My introduction to the whole bidet thing started about six years ago while traveling in South East Asia (Thailand). I have to admit that it took me awhile to give it a go, butt I am so glad I did. The overall benefits of a handheld bidet are versatility and price. When you handbidet.jpgare not using it for yourself there is always another project like cleaning diapers, the toilet, or fluffy.

Having been at this butt-washing thing for a few years I have made some mistakes and learned a few things along the way. The two main areas that you will want to consider are:

1.     How easily it connects to your plumbing,
2.     The quality of the unit (Beware of spray heads made with low grade plastic).

While these are important areas to consider for all styles of bidet, this is especially true of the hand-held model. Let me tell you a little story of my friend’s handheld bidet disaster. He had a cheap plastic model that somehow fell off the wall in the middle of the night. The next morning his downstairs neighbor was pounding on the door complaining that water was running down the walls. It turned out that the plastic ring which mounted the hose to the spray head broke costing him several thousand dollars in damages. As is generally the case, you get what you pay for.

There is only one company that we can recommend for the hand-held bidet, Sanicare. They have worked out all the plumbing issues necessary for a safe and easy installation as well as parts, accessories, and online installation instructions. Of special note is the Brass/Chrome ceramic valve which allows you to easily control water pressure and turn off water when not in use. This is a must have safety feature for this style of bidet. Additionally, options such as the inline adjustable control valve and the inline backflow prevention valve make Sanicare the leader in the hand-held bidet arena. You will find a full line of quality (brass & plastic) handheld styles to choose from as well as great customer care and free shipping in the US.

Check back again as we will be providing more bidet-review information in the near future. Have a nice bee-day

Well, yes; Sanicare have worked out most issues with installation in America, but certainly not in Australia.
Our public water supply pressure is usually in excess of 50 psi, and can be higher than 120psi. Any handheld bidet will not last hooked up to this kind of pressure.
